This is where I share all of my best resources. These are companies and products that I use on a daily basis.
Wanderlust Resource Guide
Skyscanner is a great site to check the best deals on flights. You can use the explore feature if you’re flexible on dates and destinations.
Google flights is also great for this. I especially love to use this for multi-city flights.
If you’re renting a car in Europe, I always choose Auto Europe for the best rates and location options.
If you plan on using trains frequently in Europe, I highly recommend getting a rail pass through Rail Europe.
We’ve used Airbnb all over the world and love opportunities to stay in unique places and live like a local. You can get $55 off your first stay!
If I’m looking for hotels rather than Airbnbs, I use Booking.com. It’s a great site that includes hotels and guest houses.
If you’re looking for a unique tour, cooking class, or experience, you can now book them through individual locals on Airbnb
I love the tours that Take Walks offers, from guided history tours to cooking classes, there is something for everyone around the world.
TRAVEL & GEAR
It’s always wise to have Travel Insurance no matter where you go. You just never know what could happen and the peace of mind is worth it. I use World Nomads for all of my trips.
I love REI. You can get almost any outdoor gear you need at REI. I love that you can buy used gear there too! Such a great thing for the environment. Their stuff is high quality and it lasts.
I’m a big fan of online resources (obviously), but I do love a good guidebook. I think Lonely Planet has some of the best!
The Go Whee App is a great resource for families all over the world. Advice submitted by real families. You can search with filters like price, age, amenities, etc.
