The kids have been back to school for a few weeks now and we are settling back into our new routine. We have a new house, new neighborhood, and new schools in the family. There are a lot of new adjustments going on in our family, but the structured days have been really beneficial for all of us.
Jackson started middle school this year so that has been a big change. It’s a lot more hands-off for me, which is nice, but also scary. With middle school comes a slew of new experiences, interests, and activities, both during and after school.
Jackson is playing basketball this year again, so he’s been taking out his Invisalign® aligners to play. And he’s also doing theater classes and it’s great that he doesn’t have to worry about braces getting in the way on the stage and while learning his lines, which gives him so much confidence, as the aligners are virtually invisible. And he can remove them for performances if he wants to.
His Invisalign® treatment is going well. We’ve had our check-in appointment and the orthodontist said everything is moving along perfectly. I’ve been impressed by how well Jackson is wearing his aligners. He’s been really responsible about keeping them clean and not losing them and he says they don’t bother him, so that’s great, as this was one of my biggest concerns when we started the process. Luckily, Invisalign® aligners are made with SmartTrack® material for a better fit and greater comfort.*
